Parasites
Scape and Run: Parasites turns the world into an escalating biological threat. Parasites can appear broadly, do not rely on daylight to make them harmless, and may evolve or adapt as the world's phase advances.
What changes for the player
Early assimilated creatures grow into stronger primitive and adapted forms. Some enemies infest terrain, summon reinforcements, or become resistant to repeatedly used damage types. A fight that was safe yesterday may become a base-level emergency later.
Survival priorities
- Kill scouting or support creatures before they establish a foothold.
- Do not fight every outbreak beside your home; lure threats away from machines and storage.
- Carry multiple damage types and weapons to answer adaptation.
- Light still helps against ordinary mobs, but do not assume sunlight stops parasites.
- Watch for infested blocks, Beckons, Nests, or other structures that grow the threat.
Lures
Parasite Lures are progression-control blocks. In versions that support the full system, they can halt phase-point gain in an area and consume appropriate Carcasses to reduce points. Use JEI for the lure tier and carcass recipes enabled in this pack.
Place a Lure in a defensible, accessible location, activate it as its tooltip requires, and keep the needed carcasses available. Do not treat it as a force field: it manages progression pressure but does not replace walls, weapons, or clearing nearby parasite structures.
SRParasites is heavily configurable and its mechanics changed between releases. The pack's quest text, JEI recipes, and in-game phase tools override generic online values.
