Finding Eggs
Eggs hide throughout the pack: mobs may drop them, blocks may reveal them, and some appear only under special weather, height, potion, held-item, or nearby-block conditions. Discovery is meant to be collaborative, so share confirmed methods instead of throwing away duplicates.
Read the egg first
Every egg shows three useful clues:
- Stability: its base chance to hatch successfully.
- Favored liquid: the fluid it wants in the Incubator.
- Favored petal: the matching petal or plant ingredient.
Raising Stability
Matching the favored liquid adds 15 percentage points. Matching the favored petal adds another 15 points, up to a maximum success chance of 100%.
Example
A Mysterious Egg begins at 40% Stability and asks for Radioactive Coolant and an Oak petal.

Incubation checklist
- Photograph or record the egg tooltip.
- Confirm the requested liquid and petal in JEI.
- Load the Incubator without unrelated fluids or petals.
- Insert the egg and verify the displayed chance.
- Start the cycle and wait for completion.
A successful incubation introduces your new baby. A failed roll produces a Rotten Egg.
Do not incubate a difficult-to-replace egg until both bonuses are available. The extra 30 percentage points can be the difference between a new production species and a Rotten Egg.
