Pixelmon: Dynamaxing
Dynamax makes a Pokémon enormous for three turns, increases its HP, and replaces its moves with Max Moves. It is normally limited to one use per side in a battle and only works where the battle rules permit it.
Before the battle
Choose a Pokémon whose move types create useful Max Moves. Offensive Max Moves deal damage while setting weather or raising stats; status moves become Max Guard. A Pokémon with broad coverage often gains more tactical options than one with four similar attacks.
Activating Dynamax
- Enter an eligible battle, commonly a raid or another Power Spot-enabled encounter.
- Select the Dynamax control on the battle screen.
- Choose a Max Move.
- Plan all three turns: the form ends after the third turn or earlier if the Pokémon leaves the field.
Gigantamax
Certain Pokémon have a Gigantamax factor and use a species-specific G-Max move instead of the standard Max Move for one type. Not every individual of that species can Gigantamax, so inspect its summary or origin.
Pixelmon's Dynamax availability changed across releases, and servers can disable or restrict it. The battle UI and pack quests are authoritative for this 1.12.2 installation.
