Pixelmon: Mega Ring
Mega Evolution temporarily transforms a compatible Pokémon during battle. You need an unlocked and equipped Key Stone (often presented as a Mega Ring) and the Pokémon must hold its matching Mega Stone.
Using Mega Evolution
- Equip the Key Stone from the Pixelmon inventory accessory area.
- Give the compatible Pokémon its exact Mega Stone.
- Enter a battle where Mega Evolution is allowed.
- Select the Mega option before choosing the move.
- Only one Pokémon on your side can normally Mega Evolve per battle.
The transformation raises stats and may change type or Ability. It ends after the battle.

Team-building advice
A Mega Stone occupies the held-item slot, so compare the Mega form against a normal form holding a Choice item, Life Orb, or defensive item. Build the rest of the team around the Mega's speed, weaknesses, and preferred role rather than adding it only for higher stats.
