Pokeball Crafting & Residue

Pokeball Crafting & Residue guide screenshot

Apricorns are used to craft Poké Balls, while defeating wild Pokémon may leave behind typed Residue needed for quests and progression.

Crafting Poké Balls

  • Harvest Apricorns from Apricorn trees, then replant them on dirt to grow more.
  • Cook the Apricorns and arrange them into the disc required by your chosen Poké Ball.
  • Smelt the disc into a lid, then combine it with the correct base and button.
  • Different Poké Balls use different patterns and materials, so check JEI before crafting.

Collecting Residue

  • Defeating a wild Pokémon may drop Residue matching its type.
  • Single-type Pokémon produce regular Residue, while dual-type Pokémon may produce Hybrid Residue.
  • Hover over Residue to see which type or types it contains.
  • Keep a variety of Residue, as later quests require many different types and combinations.
tip

Battle different wild Pokémon as you explore instead of farming only one species.
